This Machinists End Mill Set is the perfect kit for cutting plastics and soft metals. Our single flute end mills are designed to cut larger chips (versus cutters with more flutes) allowing for better chip and heat evacuation – critical for materials that are prone to melting. These end mills have been tested on 6061 aluminum up to 3/4″ thick and common plastics such as Delrin, PVC, Acrylic, Polycarbonate and HDPE. These bits require extra consideration when using them, so we recommend them for more advanced users.
