Please note that if you already have 3D printed parts on your machine, these steel brackets do not offer any performance benefits between them. We simply started making them out of steel to increase the consistency of our kits and use a faster method of producing the brackets. Simply put, it is faster for us to make steel brackets in large batches than to 3D print them. If you have 3D printed parts that work, there is no need to change over to the steel parts.
The latest versions of the LongMill’s parts can be exported to 2D or 3D files (DXF, STL, STEP, PARASOLID) from our Onshape documents. For full details, visit our Open-source and Modifications page on our LongMill resources.
