This 1/4″ Extra Long Flat Roughing End Mill – 1/4″ Shank-3F is specially designed for fast material removal, making it ideal for raw lumber. This end mill offers 1.75″ cutting flute length,  3.5″ overall length, and 3 serrated flutes, allowing for cutting through items like standard-size guitar blanks, as well as thicker wood in general. Roughing end mills have the following features:

• A greater number of flutes to improve stiffness and to reduce the chip load per flute, for minimized chatter and vibration.
• Serrated edges to break chips as they are cut, to help with material ejection.
