The AutoZero Touch Plate is Siencis revolutionary CNC touch plate design that allows for automatic zero-setting with both straight and irregularly shaped bits (v-bits, ball nose, and tapered) in all X, Y, and Z directions for a fully streamlined probing experience:
Unlike most conventional touch plates, the AutoZeros unique chamfered-edge geometry, symmetry, and tall walls means it can automatically measure and calculate the size and position of the bit you’re using very accurately. Plus, with our gSender control software users can run all functions through pre-built settings to have a seamless zeroing experience without having to mess around with custom macros.

Assembly of the Altmill was extremely easy, instructions were very well written as soon as I got the table portion done I checked for square and it was dead on square . I did have one problem though, the slb-ext had defective X axis but I got a replacement right away and off I went. At this point I should mention I have never even touched a CNC machine in my life. I have now made several catch trays and I am working on a new sighn for my business. Thank you Sienci Labs for manufacturing such great Machine

Works great

It works very well,I sometimes get the creeps when I have a1/16″ bit on it because it comes very close to the high part when just zeroing the z with the corner.I still use the regular one on occasion but need to remember to use different zeroing.

Not that I have any background in CNC but coming from a FDM print world, the AutoZero Touch Plate is awesome. Just set it on the edge of your workpiece and let your machine and the touchplate do their thing! Instantly configures your Zeros and get you to work immediately!

Cannot really comment on the auto zero I have not used it yet. Most of my pieces I’ve zeroed out somewhere on top of the board instead of a corner. But I will give it a 5 for workmanship.
