Works very well. My only suggestion would be some sort of a 3d printed device that would fit over the profile of the AZTP with a handle to allow the user to apply pressure to keep the AZTP seated into the corner of your stock while the Altmill touches off for the various axis zeros. Also, is it possible to lower the acceleration of the Altmill to give less mechanical movement during the zero process? This is a safety issue. I have seen many videos of folks with their hand on the TP to prevent it moving during the AZ process.

Z positioning works great. In my experience the touch plate shifts when zeroing X and Y, no matter how hard I try holding it down. When the bit hits the side, it makes the touch plate jump over the edge of the piece it’s positioned against. Might be user error, but AFAICT I’m using it exactly as any instructions I can find indicate.

Do yourself a favor and get this touch plate. I have never used a touch plate as accurate as this one. The ability to probe Z and XYZ has drastically reduced setup time. This plate accepts all bit types and takes the guess work out setup. This is a must have add on to your machine.
