The AltMill 1.5KW ER20 Spindle & Clear Dust Shoe Kit is designed to unleash the capabilities of the AltMill cutting potential as a plug-and-play add-on. This kit features the upgraded Clear Cut Dust Shoe, which allows for easier tool changes and height adjustments, quick hose clamp connection and clear views of your carves. The enclosed VFD is easy to mount, easy to install, and has a power-on/off switch.

Each kit comes with:

80mm Clear Cut Dust Shoe
ER20, 80mm, 1.5KW 110V Air-Cooled Spindle
110V, 1.5KW, 3-Phase output VFD
AC power cable
Spindle power cable (5m for 2×4/4×4, 7.2m for 4×8)
ER20 1/8, 1/4″, 3/8″and 1/2″ collets (one of each)
Data cable to connect to the AltMill/SLB-EXT controller for remote speed control

I’m new to CNC and didn’t know fully what to expect when using a spindle. The noise level alone compared to the squirrel cage motor of other routers that I own make the investment in the spindle worthwhile. The power and variable speed capability are as expected.

excellent spindle. My only issue and this applies to any of your machines/accessories– when a part is missing in the box and I have already paid the price plus delivery plus taxes in my own country, it is a bit annoying to have to pay a second tax on the replacement when the item should have been in the first delivery. The collets were missing in my spindle order and I had to pay a second tax.
