FAQs
Is it compatible with my CNC?
This product is compatible with the LongMill with LongBoard, SLB and SLB-EXT controllers. It is also compatible with the Onefinity with Buildbotics and Masso controllers. See our resources for machine-specific guides. Otherwise for all other controllers, detailed compatibility requirements can be found in this article.
Please note technical support is limited for third-party CNCs, but we will try our best to get you up and running!
What collet does the AutoSpin use?
It uses ER11 collet.
Will the AutoSpin use brushes common to any other off the shelf routers?
Yes! Carbon brushes. The router comes with an extra set of brushes and is compatible with Makita’s CB-408 brushes.
How often should I replace brushes?
On average, 1-2 years of regular use for most users (rough estimate of 100hrs of use.) Brushes should be replaced when your AutoSpin router starts to run poorly or lose power. The interval of how often they should be replaced can vary.
Will this product offer any noise advantages over other trim routers?
There is no noise advantage at the same RPM compared to the commonly used Makita RT0701C. However, spindle mode makes it easier to activate the tool only when cutting and switch to lower RPMs when needed.
What is the longevity of this product?
The tool’s lifespan is rated for 500 hours, though this may vary depending on the load.
Warranty
The AutoSpin T1 Router comes with a 1-year warranty starting at the time of arrival to the customer against manufacturing defects.

I love that I dont have to be around my machine when the job is finishing up. Although lately my bits are getting stuck in the collett. I have to completely remove the nut and hold the bit with vice grips and tap on the vice grips to remove them. I would appreciate any advice on why this is happening.. Hoping to hear from you soon. Thanks..

I really like that I don’t have to set the router speed or turn it on before I start a carve. The physical installation and software setup were straight forward. It has lots of power for my Longmill MK1.

The AutoSpin T1 Router was a great affordable upgrade from my tired Mikita router on my MKII Longmill as I am running the original longboard. I love the spindle mode on the AutoSpin where the rpm is set in the software and the auto on/off is an awesome perk!

While the Makita router worked fine, the ease of use the AutoSpin provides is 100% better.

The Autospin T1 is an excellent upgrade for my Long mill Mk2.5. Having the start up and speed controlled by G Code is a game changer – all for about 25% of the cost of a spindle. And, it has more than enough power for a Longmill.

Very pleased, it seems to be more powerful and a tad quieter . I was a little skeptical about the manual or auto mode but I have used on 3 medium size projects and it seems to be just fine .
I also purchased the G sender computer and will say that other than a little slow to get up and started very pleased
One thing I don’t like is when you come out with an update it appears you can’t keep your existing version and must download the new version
I’m always skeptical of new versions having all the kinks worked out before updating

Haven’t used it a lot yet but so far so good. Maybe I can say something again in a few months.

Very good router! Very good shipping experience too.
I hope you are going to add some additional programing help to add “spindle functionality” like startup in a hold position, ability to raise and turn off in a paused position.
