The Makita RT0701C is the perfect router for your LongMill and works with a standard 65mm mount.
This 110V/120V router (with a North American plug) has a 10,000 to 30,000 RPM range, and is useful for working with anything from soft plastics to metals and soft to hardwoods.
Its electronic speed control adjusts power under load to provide constant speed, and is backed by the durability you’d expect from Makita (making this router a staple of the hobby CNC industry.) Disappointed that I needed to buy it for my machine.
I already have 2 routers in my shop, but neither would fit the Alt Mill. As I plan to upgrade to the 1.5K spindle, Ill be the proud owner of a third router.
