I absolutely love my upgraded spindle. The power and speed are leaps above the original spindle I got at time of purchase. I know, after over 1+ year of ownership of the AltMill 4×4, my only regret is not upgrading the 1.5KW spindle to the 2.2KW spindle sooner. I am planning on purchasing another AltMill in the near future only it will be the 4×8 with all of the bells and whistles. I truly believe Sienci Labs, hands down, has the best CNC for beginners to someone that wants to run a small to medium production shop.
Take it from someone with over 10+ years of CNC woodworking. I started with the Axiom 2×4 and moved to the AltMill 4×4. I have zero regrets. Spend the extra money and purchase the 2.2KW spindle and you’ll thank yourself for doing so.
