Excellent build documentation, everything was neatly packaged!
One complaint is missing rs485 cable which I thought was included due to product description on site of rs485 where it says its included, but Im guessing thats only applicable if bought with spindle kit.

So far so good!

Big enough for all I want to do as a hobby. The table shakes every time it stops. Thinking about adding cross braces to it. I already added a shelf to the whole bottom and weight.

Totally Love this Machine. I had a couple of user errors when I first got it up and running but the support was top notch and resolved my issues very quickly.

I’ve honestly been blown away by the Altmill. The build quality, precision, and overall capability have exceeded my expectations, especially at this price point. Once I got everything set up, it’s been an absolute workhorse in my shop. I primarily use it for carving wood signs, and the level of detail and consistency I’m getting is fantastic—it’s really helped take my work to the next level.
What stands out most to me is how much value you get with this machine. It’s opened the door for me to move beyond just hobby work and start creating products I can confidently sell. That’s a big deal.
Like most CNC setups, there’s a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, but your documentation and community support made a huge difference. If anything, continuing to simplify that initial onboarding process would make it even more accessible for brand new users—but once you’re up and running, it’s incredibly rewarding.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with Sienci. I’m excited to keep pushing the machine and growing what I can create with it.
Thanks again, and keep up the great work!
Best regards,
David

I have 2 small no name desktop cncs and needed to be able to do larger products. I saw the Altmill on IDC’s you tube channel and started doing my research on it. I hesitated ordering early Dec 25 because of the long wait times but eventually pushed the button to order a 4×4 with a spindle. After having it now for 2+ months I have no regrets. With the videos the Altmill was easy to assemble and understand. I do a little bit of aluminum work also and my only regret is not getting the 2.2kw spindle. Spend the extra $100 for it.

Love the machine. Haven’t quite utilized the entire work surface, but I know if I purchased the 2×4 I would have needed the 4×4. Assembly was quiet easy even with the mode that have been made after the fact. Great innovations on the Limit changes.

The machine is awesome, that’s why I bought it. But it doesn’t have enough z axis travel. I have 39 years of cnc and programming experience so 5 inches of z travel dosen’t work for me. I am redesigning the side plates for dual z ballscrews for at least 10 inches of gantry lift. Also the ring status lights work but the strip lights don’t work on my longboard ext.

The Altmil is a great CNC. I do recommend it. It does take some getting used to it! The company has been great to work with, especially with shipping as UPS has not been the best. I have had several repeat shipments from Scienci due to their mishandling.

The assembly docs were first rate, as was the entire boxing experience, so pleased.

Makes me smile every time I use it. Then I think about the quality and precision of the work I’m doing and how little I paid for this machine. That makes me happy too.
