The working area of your machine is referred to by the name of your machine. For example, an AltMill 4×4 has an approximately 4ft by 4ft working area, and a 2×4 machine has a 2ft by 4ft working area. We typically allow for extra travel on all axes beyond what is specified to allow you to work with material edge to edge.
