By default, the maximum feed rate on the LongMill is set to 4000mm/min or 157in/min on the X and Y axis, and 3000mm/min or 118in/min on the Z-axis.
If you tell your machine to move faster than the preset maximum feed rate, the machine’s electronics will automatically adjust the feed rate to move at its maximum.
Presets can be changed by changing the EEPROM settings. We have tested the LongMill move up to 10,000mm/min. However, to improve reliability and reduce the chance of missed steps, we highly recommend keeping your machine at the default speeds.
